Our Patriot Coaches are passionate about health and wellness. Our staff comes from different backgrounds and possess many unique skills. One thing remains the same with our staff, we are committed and dedicated at getting the absolute best out of our clients and members.

Nick Janowitz

Owner

I started my athletic career in soccer and wrestling. At the age of 18 I joined the US Navy and became a member of the ALL NAVY Wrestling team where I first discovered world class training. In 2007 I turned professional as a Mixed Martial Arts Fighter. I have walked for 24hours and broken multiple world records including the most pull ups in 6 hours (3,650), 12 hours (5,742) and 24 hours (7,621).  I have also broken the 12 hour burpee record (7,130) and 24 hour (10,164).  I have coached thousands of athletes ranging from grade school to professional and I am currently or been the strength coach for several schools and sports clubs. My greatest joy is watching my clients and athletes conquering their goals and reaching heights they never could imagine. Over the past years I have had the privilege to coach and mentor every walk of life from Navy Seals and NBA players to your average weekend warrior.  Over the years I have developed my own training system called Patriot Volume Training (PVT).  This system has had a huge impact on my success and in my opinion it is the absolute best training program for athletes.

Kenny Boesenberg

Kenny Boesenberg is Patriot’s head trainer. He was born and raised in Elmhurst and graduated from York in 2012. He played multiple sports in high school including football, track, wrestling and rugby.

Andrea O'Connor

trainer

Andrea O’Connor is a Certified ACE Group Fitness and HIIT Tabata Instructor. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois which is where she started teaching fitness classes and jumped back in years later after being inspired by the Patriot Sports and Fitness owners and their mission. An athlete all her life, she believes in the power of physical and mental health and in making classes not only challenging but creative and fun. She loves boxing, yoga and her personally designed class called Butts and Guts. She has completed 3 triathlons.

Tracey Janowitz

Co Owner of Patriot Tracey brings a positive up beat energy for all levels. Tracey is a Tabata Certified Instructor.  She has been boxing since 2007. Tracey has personally designed some of Patriots most popular classes.  A true innovator of the fitness industry Tracey is always finding ways to better her classes each and every time out.  She is also Owner/Designer of a fitness clothing line called sweatyswag. Life is Sweaty Work it Out!

Otto Clark

trainer / jiu jitsu

Otto has been a fitness aficionado ever since he was first introduced to team sports as a child where he participated in little league baseball.  This fondness quickly transferred to his high school years where he excelled as a pitcher for the varsity team. It was during this time that he started his journey in martial arts, getting his first introduction in the art of karate. This fascination in self-defense led him to practice kung-fu during his collegiate years at Boston University, and would later progress towards the intricate study of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under the tutelage of Grandmaster Carlson Gracie. It was here that Otto honed his competitive skills, participating in national and international tournaments. Eager to explore additional disciplines, Otto emphatically dove into the world of boxing where he continued to succeed as both competitor and coach. Otto’s vast experience is evident in his teaching style where he is able to combine multiple disciplines to craft customized training routines to varied individuals. He teaches with an enthusiastic spirit and unmatched desire, eager to pay homage to his craft while assisting others in accomplishing their fitness goals.

Jennifer Hoger

Since 2015 ive been training all kinds of folks. Certified through NASM from the National Personal Training Institute, in Barre, and Beachbody’s Insanity and Step Transform. I personally love HIIT and strength training. I am passionate about the fact that we can help heal ourselves as well as shape our bodies how we want based on what we eat and exercise.

Tony Guiterrez

I was the founder and head coach at True Prodigy Athletics (a kids martial arts gym). During the last eight years, I have coached Muay Thai (kickboxing) and Jiu Jitsu (grappling).  My programs focus on techniques, mental preparedness and fitness. I have been fortunate to have coached three multi-time National Muay Thai Champs as well as many Jr. Expert Division Jiu Jitsu champions. Martial Arts for kids is a passion of mine. Your child may not want to compete in the ring or on the mats, but if they need to defend themselves you’ll be glad they trained with kids that do.

Our Story

We are glad you’re here!

Thanks for taking the time to read our story.

Nick and I come from different backgrounds. He is decorated with medals, awards, certifications, and recognitions that range from his childhood days with soccer and wrestling to more recently becoming a Professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter. He also has broken many fitness world records from Burpees to Pull ups. You can say his athleticism comes naturally. Me, not so much. Sure, I had interests, but a team sport was not really one of them. Stick us together and we see both sides of the spectrum where fitness is concerned.

We saw a need for a gym that could truly cater to all walks of life, any age or fitness level, on a more intimate scale than a traditional health club. We would commit to being a result-oriented gym. We believe that most gyms set you up to fail because you are surrounded by hundreds of machines, weights, and exercise equipment, but you have no one to navigate you through the process of how to get from point A to B with your goals. You will find that we go out of our way to make you feel like a part of our family; you are not just a number. Because after all, at the end of the day, if we help you to attain your weight loss or fitness goals, not only does it make you feel and look good, it makes us feel good too.
